Dear Miss Know It All,
I want to figure out how to style my school uniform. I have a strict dress code of black shoes and navy sweater/sweatshirts (no logo) with a horrendous shapeless red plaid skirt. Please help me style those mess with appropriate and inexpensive tips.

Uniforms can be so restricting, especially since we all want to showcase our personalities, but there are subtle ways to turn gross to glam!
First, determine how strict your school is about uniforms? Are you allowed to add accessories? Can you have items that are a different color paired with your school's colors?
My tip is that socks/tights are your best friend. Buy a few pairs of funky socks or some colorful tights for a Gossip Girl inspired look.
Without changing your uniform too much, add a few charms onto the cuff of your sleeve or a brooch on your sweatshirt.
Add some adorable statement jewelry, like novelty earrings or a colorful necklace.
